Join us for a lively discussion with Beth Gardiner, author of Choked: Life and Breath in the Age of Air Pollution. Learn more about Beth here.

"Nothing is as elemental, as essential to human life, as the air we breathe. Yet around the world, in rich countries and poor ones, it is quietly poisoning us."

We will be presenting the results of Ecology Ottawa and Sierra Club Canada's air quality monitoring campaign, Breathe Easy. Over 120 volunteers monitored Ottawa's air quality this summer to identify ‘hot spots’ across the city for air particulate, O3 and NO2 pollution — an important first step in sparking community dialogue around neighbourhood-level solutions designed to improve air quality and ultimately, quality of life.

Thank you to the Trottier Foundation and the Ottawa Sustainability Fund for funding this project, and this webinar.
