Ecology Ottawa’s Healthy Watershed campaign has been working towards a stronger and healthier Ottawa watershed since 2012. Since then, Ecology Ottawa has had a hand in stopping the dumping of untreated sewage into the Ottawa River through our work on the Ottawa River Action Plan and depave paradise.
This campaign has two programs:
- Depave Paradise: this program addresses the proliferation of hard surfaces in modern urban environments through the primal act of ripping up unused pavement and replacing it with soil and vegetation.
- Ottawa River Action Plan: this program fights against the dumping of untreated wastewater into the Ottawa River, with a petition.
